Vintage Abalone/ Mother of Pearl Shark Brooch, Carved Shark Brooch, Lapel Pin Beautiful iridescent shark shell brooch. This amazing brooch has been carved from abalone/mother of pearl shell and is of a swimming shark shown from its underside. You can see the shark’s mouth carved out of the shell and a very fine row of razor sharp looking teeth. As the light hits the brooch it shows beautiful iridescent, northern light colours of pink, yellow and green. The brooch is in a vintage condition and has a couple of little chips on the edge of its tail. You can see the chips in the photographs as it is close up photography but these chips are not noticeable when the brooch is being worn. There are no other chips on the brooch. The brooch measures across from tip of nose to tail 7cm and from fin to fin 4.5cm. The brooch fastens with a secure pin and standard c clasp
